When you see the Health and Safety screen, open the small flap on the front of the Wii console to find a red button labeled "SYNC." Press and hold the SYNC Button down for 15 seconds. After a few seconds have elapsed, plug the cord back into the wall outlet. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet for a few seconds. Turn the Wii console power OFF by pressing the POWER Button on the front of the console.

I have the same issue, when I start up the Wii I have to try which mote that starts it (pressing A in the first screen) and then start uLOADER, load the desired game and then press home, disconnect and reinstall all motes that will be used.Ĭan I install anything to make it recognize the motes automatically again?

Then I helped a friend to mod his and it works fine but he says that after the mod he has to install the motes manually. I moded my Wii directly when I got it so I don?t know how it works in original condition. have tried unplugging both usb and sd card and reconnecting but no results. Unfortunately now i get ERROR usb device disconnected in uloader.
CIOS INSTALLER WIIMOTE DISCONNECTS ZIP FILE
downloaded zip file onto pc and unzipped to usb and installed the wads no problem!! macbook pro shows wad files as unzipped but they are actually still compressed. pls help me here as when i open uloader it gives me a fault msg ios222 and ios223 required and then quits.ĮDIT:ok i found the problem. ios07-64-v6687 wad is the only one that loads (and shows a size of 1.07mb, all the others show 0.0mb). i have reformatted my sd card with no change of results and even tried to load them via a usb storage device. when it comes to removing ios 222,223 etc none of those wads were present (infact ios257 is the only 3 digit wad i have).so when i go into wad manager to install them they show as empty wads and i get error! (ret = -1). so i did as instructed and started with method b. i installed boot.elf no problem and once in homebrew everyhting was going fine till step 6 of method a. (although the price difference is probably not that much, you can pick up an external 250GB drive for less than ?50 these days.)

I would still favour the USB drive over DVD any day, but this may be a stop gap for those who cannot afford or find a compatible external hard drive. I haven't tested this so cannot confirm if all external DVD drives are recognised.
CIOS INSTALLER WIIMOTE DISCONNECTS UPDATE
Sorry mate, updated again to include the old method as well as the new method (Method A, Method B) for those having issues with GP DOP-IOS.įor those that need help before Dell gets chance to update the OP, the details and yet again updated zip file can be found here ()Īlso for those that would rather use DVD loading over USB loading but have newer Wii consoles, it might be worth knowing that as of uLoader 3.5 (current version is 3.6A) external USB DVD drives can be identified. No probs AdeWii, cheers for the update m8. Sorry for full history but I thought the more info the better - all constructive advice greatly appreciated Ii) can i restart the whole process again with no detrimental effect (for example using () - which i found as an alternate process?) I) how can i get around this problem, or if not [Step 5 - Install and Patch A Few More IOSī) Load up homebrew channel once more, then load up WAD Manager. The problem now is that at section 5b the wii stops communication with the controller (controller turns off, when turned back on all 4 lights flash and it doesn't register with wii) so i'm not able to proceed. I keep coming across alternative direction that seems to differ subtley from what I've done so far. Searching on here has only served to scare me that I've missed something. This was done with the assistance of bruv in law Paul but process stopped when he had to go back down south!Īnyway having received direction via Paul and this forum ( ()) I encountered the problem above now seemingly overcome, however a further issue has arisen. I started to work on my wii last week and after a few attempts managed to get Homebrew installed.
